Weissi’s Gaststub’n
Description
If you are travelling from Emmersdorf towards Wachau and your stomach is rumbling, we recommend a visit to Weissi's Gaststub'n. This popular family business, which is known for its home-style pub food, is located directly on the B3 motorway. If you book a table at Weissi's Gaststub'n, you can expect a warm welcome! In recent years, Petra and Andreas Weissenböck have remodelled and expanded the former home into a popular and well-frequented inn. With its rustic parlour, bright conservatory and two guest gardens, the inn is sure to appeal to guests' tastes. When it comes to food and drink, the region clearly comes into its own. The organic honey comes from the neighbour. The spelt bread comes directly from Grimsing. Wachau wines and beer from the Waldviertel are also served.
Grimsing's best pub food
There is something about eating in an inn that makes you feel at home and at the same time spoils you with culinary delights of the highest calibre. The patroness of the establishment, Petra Weissenböck, and her daughter regularly hit top form in the kitchen. The boiled beef boiled beef is served with fine root vegetables, potato pancakes and chive sauce. Manfred Höllerschmid brings the meat from the Kamptal. The deliciously souffléed schnitzel with parsley potatoes and a plump Veltliner veal cream pudding with napkin dumplings emphasise the typical tavern character. The warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, egg liqueur and whipped cream is always good.
